P.C.P.O.A. Business Meeting Minutes 04/30/2005
The P.C.P.O.A. board president, Bruce Philipoom, began the meeting at 4:55pm by thanking Jackie and Anthony Haynes for hosting the P.C.P.O.A. Spring Social/Business meeting. Next the current board members were introduced:
Joan Gardner – Treasurer, Brad Redwine – Secretary, Rhoda Morrell - Social Chairman, Jim White – At Large, Steve Urgo – Webmaster, Bruce Philipoom – President.
2005 Budget: An annual budget of $4200.00 was presented to the group. Currently there are 39 paid members for 2005. There was a motion to approve the proposed budget by Bill Powell and a second by Jim Drapp. Membership present approved the budget by a voice vote.
Special Lighting District for Pemberton Creek Subdivision: Bruce Phillipoom thanked Steve and Susan Daily for their work in presenting the special lighting project to the residents of Pemberton Creek Subdivision. The response of the residents was very flavorful to the project.. Signatures were obtained from 10 of the 14 property owners (71%) indicating they were in favor of establishing a special street lighting district. The board will act as petitioner, on behalf of the residents of Pemberton Creek Subdivision, and make a written request to the county asking that a special lighting district be created for this subdivision. The process is expected to take over a year from the initial request to the county to the installation of street lighting by TECO.
Entrance Lighting: The President discussed, and thanked Joan Gardner for getting this project completed. The membership largely commended the project and liked the additional lighting effect on the entrance area.
Special Land Use Hearing: Bruce Philipoom asked Gene Gardner to report on the special land use hearing he attended on Friday, 4/1/05. Gene reported that the zoning hearing master had approved the request to allow a borrow pit on the land at the corner of Pruett Rd. and Kings Way. There is an appeals process which may be currently underway. Gene stressed that lack of opposition at the hearing was probably a factor in the hearing masters’ decision.
.
Other Business: The President mentioned a zoning variance request posted at McIntosch Rd. and Gore Rd. None present were aware of the specifics of the request.
A request was made by a member asking that the Board post Hillsborough Countys’ Code Enforcement number on the webpage. The President took that request for action.
Roland Halil asked if anything could be done about speeders in the neighborhood. Much discussion followed and it was agreed to place a “slow down” type sign on the bulletin board.
A motion to adjourn was advanced by Bill Powell and a second was made by Jim Drapp.
The meeting adjourned at 5:15pm.
