P.C.P.O.A. Board Meeting Minutes 07/24/2005
The meeting was called to order at 3:00pm with the minutes from the P.C.P.O.A. board meeting (04/02/05) and the Spring Social Business Meeting (04/30/05) being reviewed and approved for the record. Board members present were Bruce Philipoom, Brad Redwine, and Joan Gardner. Rhoda Morrell and Jim White were absent.
Old Business:
Street Light Repairs: Brad Redwine reported that TECO had repaired the lighting problem reported in March. The best method of reporting street lighting problems is via the Tampa Electric Co. web site where there is a specific form for such problems. The response time is less than two weeks.
Special Lighting District (SLD): Brad Redwine reported that the county had responded to the request to create a SLD in the original Pemberton Creek Subdivision. A detailed drawing defining the lighting district, a listing of all property owners within the proposed district, and a formal petition for the residents to sign was received. Susan and Steve Daily will be contacted shortly regarding championing the petition signing process among the residents impacted. The cost of the special lighting service per lot will be $28.18 and will be included on property owners’ annual tax bills.
Treasurers’ Report: Joan Gardner presented a report as of 7/24/05 reflecting a bank balance of $7669.37. Current 2005 membership stands at 44 reflecting an increase of 8 members since the last Treasurers’ report. The letters sent out by Bruce P. to prior “historical members” soliciting their support in 2005 appears to have been the reason behind most of the additional support. It was also reported that TECO is no longer billing P.C.P.O.A., Inc. for any of the street lighting at the entrance. It was also reported that Rhoda M. had begun delivering “welcome baskets” in the neighborhood.
Special Requests from Spring Social: Bruce P. reported that he had asked Steve Urgo, the webmaster, to add the telephone number for Hillsborough County Code Enforcement to the community links section of the Pemberton Creek web page. Bruce also reported having posted a visible reminder on the community bulletin board asking all to please observe the posted 25mph speed limit in the neighborhood.
New Business:
Fall Social: The tentative date for this event is October 29th. The location for the event has not yet been determined but possibly either Susan and Steve Daily or Cheryne and Bruce Philipoom may serve as hosts.
Resurfacing of Streets: Brad R. will contact Hillsborough County about the possibility of having the neighborhood streets repaved. They were last resurfaced in 1988 or 1989 and are currently showing significant signs of deterioration.
County Code Enforcement: There seem to be more than several situations in the neighborhood, which may possibly require intervention county code enforcement. For example, large tree cuttings sitting at curbside for a period greater than three months, more than four automobiles parked at a residence for a period greater than three months, and commercial vehicles parked overnight at residences. County code enforcement will be contacted about these situations for follow up as needed.
The board meeting adjourned at 4:20pm.
The next board meeting is scheduled for September 18th, Sunday at 3:00pm, in the home of Bruce Philipoom.
