Board meeting called to order at 6:15pm on 4/30/00 at the home of Bill Powell.
Members present were: Bill Powell, Brad Redwine, Sharon Bolen and Anthony Haynes.
First order of business was implementation of the Pemberton Creek sign improvement project approved by the PCPOA membership at the Spring Social held on 4/15/00. It was decided that the Muck Pond entrance was the best area to begin this project due to the following reasons:
Perception of improvement would be experienced by the entire community. Entrance sign improvement will probably represent largest single dollar expenditure of the overall project. Electricity is readily available from the street light meter that PCPOA is already paying for. Entire project will be on private property. Single property owner to negotiate permission to proceed.
It was also decided that the community bulletin board should be relocated to the front entrance area thus allowing all residents easy access to any information posted.
Additional projects that were discussed which would possibly increase community involvement and PCPOA membership interest were:
Front entrance street lighting
Entrance curbing
The last item of discussion was the Community Grant Application for Pemberton Creek. Anthony Haynes will complete the application and submit it before the deadline. The purpose is to receive county dollars for neighborhood improvement project(s).
The next meeting of the board will be determined by the action items needing to be accomplished for the entrance sign project.
