Subject: PCPOA Board Meeting Minutes 8/20/00
The PCPOA board meet convened at 6:00PM on Sunday 8/20/00 at the home of Bill Powell. Members present were Bill Powell, Sharon Bolen and Brad Redwine. The meeting was called to order at 6:10 and the minutes from the last meeting were read and reviewed.
The following agenda items were discussed :
SIGN PROJECT STATUS
Positioning of the sign should be reconsidered. It was decided that possibly a better location for the sign project was not immediately upon entering off of Muck Pond Rd., but rather approx. 150ft. from the corner on the left as you enter the neighborhood. The reasons for this is to eliminate the need for tree trimming and eliminate the drainage ditches and telephone poles from detracting from the signage impact. Several quotes have been obtained for irrigation of the area. Currently Hy-Flo Irrigation' bid is for $1225 and seems the most likely to follow up on. Landscaping of the area is more than likely going to be done by Kirbys' Nursery. He wants the sign installed, and irrigation system in place before he designs and plants the landscaping. There is no electric meter to support electrical service for lighting. A future project could possibly be low voltage lighting or solar powered lighting.
CURRENT COMMON AREA MAINTENANCE
It was decided that we need to review the maintenance program with our current service Springer Lawn Maintenance. Brad Redwine will contact Troy Springer re. maintenance of areas.
OCTOBER SOCIAL FUNCTION
The date for the function was tentatively set for 10/28/00. The site is to be the home of Jim and Rhoda White. Social chairperson, Gail Broda will coordinate the event and solicit help as needed from others.
UNSIGHTLY YARDS AND LOTS
It was decided that there are a number of home owners and property owners who are not maintaining their properties in accordance with the deed restrictions. A review of properties will be made and a decision made as to the need for some sort of corrective action. If such is necessary the board will send a letter asking for cooperation with deed restriction compliance.
COMMUNITY/COUNTY ISSUES
Anthony Haynes will obtain information from the county on: Diversion of County funds designated for Pemberton/Baker Creek drainage improvements. Status of new development/project at end of Towhe Ct. Community grant program for next year. PLANS FOR 2001 Phase II sign project. Spring Social/Earth Day theme. Neighborhood planting of crept myrtles provided by PCPOA at the social function for all interested.
The meeting adjourned at 7:30PM.
THE NEXT BOARD MEETING IS TO BE ON 9/17/00 AT 6:00PM AT BILL POWELLS' HOME.
