PCPOA Board Meeting Minutes 5/10/01
Meeting convened at 6:00pm at the home of Bill Powell. Board members present were BillPowell, Sharon Bolen, Bruce Phillipoom, and Brad Redwine.
Meeting was called to order at 6:15pm. A review of previous meetings’ minutes was made and minutes were approved for the record.
Spring Social held on 3/24/01 at the home of Dusty and Grace was a success. There were 42 adults and 16 children in attendance.
The agenda items for this meeting are: Treasury Report, Membership, Project Status, and Special Taxing District.
Treasury Report: Bank balance as of 5/11/01 was $5716. There are no outstanding accounts payable other than the monthly lawn maintenance fee. A proposal was made to allocate $1700 toward all improvement projects. The vote was unanimous in favor of this.
Membership: To date membership is at 30 members (29 at $100 and 1 at $75 = $2975).
Project Status: Bruce P. presented a summary of the
2nd entrance/bulletin board improvement project. Based on material
needs and cost analysis the project will cost $750. This is based on volunteers
doing the work. Contributions (actually received and pledged) for this project
exceed the cost by $400. Actual costs may exceed the $750 amount but should be
covered by the amount available for the project. The project is slated to be
completed in June and Bruce will advise all volunteers as to day and time.
Bill Powell reviewed the improvement project for the 3rd entrance/wall area improvement project. Jim White has volunteered materials and labor for the wall repair. John Kennedy has volunteered to allow a sprinkler tap to bring water to the area. Contributions pledged to date are $550 with additional pledges pending detailed cost analysis. The project will probably not be completed this year but it will be started before year-end.
Special Taxing District: Gene Gardner provided Information to the board, from the Special Assessments Coordinator (Mary Mahoney) for Hillsborough County. The information is relative to the requirements for establishing a special taxing district. Each board member is to review the information for further discussion. Some of the possibilities that a special taxing district would allow Pemberton Creek to do: landscape bridge approaches, improve drainage at entrance by adding drain pipe and filling in ditch, planting entrance hedges, pond improvements, buy vacant lot for park for neighborhood use.
NEXT MEETING TO BE ANNOUNCED IN JUNE.
