P.C.P.O.A. Board Meeting 11/23/03

The meeting was called to order on 11/23/03 at 6:00pm in the home of Bill Powell. The previous board meeting minutes were read and approved for the record.

Board members present were Bill Powell, Bob Miller, Brad Redwine, Tom Bolen, and Bruce Phillipoom. Incoming 2004 board members  present were Joan Gardner, Marcela Seelig, Lisa Brooks, Jill Meents, and Brad Meents. The purpose of the meeting was to ensure an orderly transition of duties and responsibilities to the new board.

The new board elected officers as follows:

President: Brad Meents

Treasurer: Joan Gardner

Secretary: Lisa Brooks

Member at Large: Marcela Seelig

Member at Large: Jill Meents

Bill Powell outlined the organizational structure, meeting protocol, and general responsibilities of the board. Brad Redwine gave each new board member a copy of the Bylaws of Pemberton Creek Property Owners Association, Inc., a numbered lot map of Pemberton Creek that serves as a “key” for the directory as well as the county property records, and a single copy of the directory printed off the Pemberton Creek web site. Bob Miller reviewed the treasury record and current bank balance. New bank signature cards were not available but will need to be obtained, signed, and returned to the bank before checks can be signed by a new board member. 

A general discussion was had concerning the solicitation of members, collection of dues in 2004, the web site and directory, possible projects for the new year, the adjacent development of Pemberton Oaks, and the maintenance of common areas.

The meeting adjourned at 7:30pm.

The new board set their next board meeting to be held on 12/16/03 at 6:00pm in the home of Joan Gardner.
